What Is the CoverForce MCP Server?

The CoverForce MCP server lets licensed agents quote commercial insurance by chatting with an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT. Describe the business, and the assistant handles the rest, using your own carrier appointments.

What you can do with it

  • Start a new application for a business from its name and address.
  • Resolve the NAICS classification and the class codes each carrier uses.
  • See which of your appointed carriers have appetite for the risk, and choose which of them to quote.
  • Answer only the underwriting questions your selected carriers need for that risk.
  • Add locations with the details each line of business requires.
  • Submit to the carriers you picked and follow the responses as they arrive.
  • Search your agency's applications by business, status, coverage line, or date.

What it does not do...

Some steps happen in the CoverForce agent portal, not in the conversation, this is deliberate!

  • Quote details: The server reports how many carriers quoted, declined, or failed. Carrier names, premiums, limits, and decline reasons appear in CoverForce. The assistant gives you a link to bridge straight over to the application, where every quote is shown side by side. Keeping that detail out of the conversation is a condition of our carrier agreements, because AI providers retain conversation history.
  • Binding and payment: Selecting a quote, choosing a payment plan, paying, and binding all happen in the portal.
  • Carrier appointments: Broker codes are managed in the portal under Settings. If a carrier you select has no appointment on file, the assistant gives you the link to add it.
  • Sensitive personal identifiers: The server never asks for or accepts a Social Security number. If a carrier needs one to bind, it is collected in the portal.

How it works with the agent portal

The MCP server and the portal are two views of the same account. Everything you create in a conversation exists immediately in CoverForce, recorded against your agent profile. When quotes come back, the assistant gives you a link to the application in the portal, where you compare quotes and bind.
