What you can do when you have received a declination from a carrier

When a declination is received from a carrier on a specific application, there are still steps you can take to put that declination to use.

When on the quoting screen and a decline is received, you can hover over and select "Declined Reasons" to pull up the carrier specific declination reason. Most carriers are able to provide a specific reason for the declination.

These decline reasons (with exceptions such as a blocked market) are valid declines, and are able to be placed onto an attestation if you are looking for declines to be able to access the Excess & Surplus lines market.

With certain carriers, you also have the option to bridge the quote over directly into the carriers portal, whether to provide supplemental information or to speak directly with an underwriter.
