First Insurance - Find direct appointment information

To quote with First Insurance through the CoverForce platform, your agency must first set up a Broker Code. This is a critical step because First Insurance requires a registered Retail Agent ID in their system for every quote request.

What you need

First Insurance mandates that each quote includes the name and email of the retail agent submitting the request. However, it’s not enough to simply pass along the agent's contact info — the agent must already be registered in First Insurance’s system, and a unique ID must be sent in the quote request.

To enable this, CoverForce requires that your agency sets up a First Insurance Broker Code within our platform. When a broker code is created:

  1. The agent's details are registered with First Insurance.

  2. A corresponding Retail Agent ID is returned.

  3. CoverForce stores this ID and includes it in all quote requests to First Insurance.

Who Needs to Set Up a Broker Code?

There are two valid options:

  • One broker code for the entire agency (shared across users)

  • One broker code per user (each user has their own)

Either approach works — it’s entirely up to the agency's preference. However, at least one broker code must be created in order to quote with First Insurance.

How to Set Up a Broker Code

  1. Navigate to the Broker Configuration section.

  2. Select First Insurance from the carrier list and click on the Add Broker ID button.

  3. Fill in the required agent information (name, email, etc.).

  4. Once you click Save Changes. CoverForce will store the returned Retail Agent ID.

⚠️ If no broker code is created for an agency:
When a user logs in and attempts to quote First Insurance, they will see a message that a broker code is not set up. They will be prompted to create one directly.
