Guard - Find direct appointment information

Learn how to set up your appointment to quote with Guard through CoverForce

STEP 1: SETTING UP CREDENTIALS THROUGH GUARD

Each agency requires a one-time setup to create a shared access key and secret key for each platform (including CoverForce). To request credentials, please contact API@guard.com with the following details:

1. Rater/platform to which you need access: CoverForce

2. Your Guard Agency ID

  • This is a unique alphanumeric ID assigned to your agency by Guard. Eg: PAFAKE10

3. Agency contact Guard can work with to complete setup

Be sure to take note of the access key & secret key! You will need it for the next step.

STEP 2: ADD GUARD CREDENTIALS IN COVERFORCE BROKER CONFIGURATION

Adding Guard credentials into your CoverForce portal is easy! Simply upload the following information under Broker Configuration (Settings > Broker Configuration > Guard):

Contract Number/Agency ID:
The same Agency ID that was provided to Guard in Step 1.

Access Key (User Code):
The access key provided by Guard in Step 1.

Secret Key (Password):
The secret key provided by Guard in Step 1.

Note: Make sure you are logged into the Admin portal. If you are not seeing Broker Configuration in the top navigation bar, you may need to change portals. To do this, click on your profile icon in the top right screen and open up the corresponding Network Admin portal.

TIP: WHERE TO FIND YOUR CREDENTIALS IN GUARD'S PORTAL

Contract Number/Agency ID:

  • Login to your Guard Agent Portal.
  • The Contract Numbers/Agency ID can be found in the top right dropdown on the home screen.
  • In case you have multiple Contract Numbers/Agency IDs select the appropriate one from the dropdown.

    • Provided by Guard team after requesting access & credentials in Step 1.
